Karuizawa Language School closed its doors in March 2008 after 58 years.  However, TEAM reopened a Japanese language center for missionaries six months later also in Karuizawa but at a new location with a new name, seeking to use the latest language learning strategies.

        The training center is operated by TEAM but we welcome any evangelical Christian missionary working in Japan into our language study program. LCM Japan is a specialty school which focuses on teaching the Japanese language and culture to evangelical Christian missionaries to Japan.   We welcome beginners as well as those who would like refresher courses.  Alongside daily conversational Japanese we teach ministry vocabulary to enable our graduates to do evangelism, discipleship, teach and lead Bible studies and worship services in the Japanese language.  

        All of our teaching staff are active believers in local churches and have a heart to teach missionaries to communicate the Gospel to the Japanese.
